IMPACT
During the period of November 1, 2019 to October 31, 2020, Metro Denver Crime Stoppers paid out $70,700 in reward money to 164 tipsters. In total 382 cases were cleared and 156 suspects arrested while receiving over 3,500 anonymous tips. This total included 12 homicides solved with the communities assistance and solving the Helene Pruszynski homicide from 1980 and the identification of Tangie Sims remains from 1996 with the use of genetic genealogy.
For the six years beginning November 1, 2014 to October 31, 2020 Metro Denver Crime Stoppers has paid more than $4300,000 in rewards and solved 2,298 cases and 1,019 suspects arrested. Over that period we received over 19,000 tips. With the help of our anonymous tipsters, we assisted Law Enforcement to solve over 65 murders and another 59 attempted murders and fugitives wanted for murder during the last 60 months. 84 Bank robberies were solved as well.
Since our inception in 1981, we have solved over 4,750 cases resulting in 3,114 arrests while receiving over 54,000 anonymous tips and approving more than $1,115,100 in reward money.
