Statement from the family of Tyrone Bennett (provided October 2021):
"Tyrone Anthony Bennett was a loved son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He was also a father to a son he never had an opportunity to meet because his life was cut short by a brutal and vicious killer. He had goals, plans, and dreams. He was going to be a dad, an opportunity taken away from him. Our family seeks closure. Closure won't bring him back. But justice will bring us peace. They've gotten away with this for 28 long years. And every week for 28 years, Tyrone's mom visits her son's grave at the cemetery. So please put yourself in her shoes. Help us find Tyrone's killer(s).”
Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers immediately: 720-913-7867.
