    Here’s How it Works:

You remain anonymous no matter what.

    1. When you anonymously submit information on an unsolved crime or individual wanted by law enforcement by CALLING, TEXTING, via the ONLINE or through our APP, a Code number is issued to you the caller.
    2. The information is anonymously shared with law enforcement.
    3. At the conclusion of the investigation law enforcement will notify MDCS.
    4. The MDCS Awards Committee will review the information provided by the tipster  and law enforcement and for information that leads to an arrest an award amount will be determined.
    5. MDCS will inform the tipster that they are entitled to monetary award.
    6. MDCS authorizes our bank to release the award money to you.
    7. You, the Tipster, can then pick up the award money from our bank using the code numbers given to you for identification.

  • Solving Crimes Using Technology

Denver (October 28, 2012) – Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is excited to announce the release of the latest tool to encourage the public to partner with local metro Denver law enforcement in keeping the metro area community safe.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers teamed with mobile app developer CellFlare, Inc to bring this advance technology to the citizens of Colorado. “This is really one of a kind technology that allows the user to easily submit anonymous tips via email, photos and even video” said Mike Mills, board President, “an extremely important feature in which the entire Metro Denver Crime Stoppers program was built – the ability for our tipsters to remain 100% anonymous.”

In addition, Metro Denver Crime Stoppers will be able to send urgent broadcast push messages to those who have downloaded the free app, to ensure that the public is notified of time sensitive cases, such as AMBER alerts and MEDINA alerts.

Tipsters, who use the app, will still be eligible for awards of up to $2,000 when they submit a tip that assists law enforcement in solving a case.  To-date, Metro Denver Crime Stoppers has paid out over $600,000 in awards to citizens who have helped solve hundreds of cases.

The Metro Denver Crime Stoppers mobile app is immediately available as a FREE download on the App Store for Apple ® devices, on Google Play™ for Android devices and on the BlackBerry App World for select BlackBerry devices.

Scan this QR Code with your smartphone to download your FREE app now and join Metro Denver Crime Stoppers in protecting our communities.
