Denver (October 28, 2012) - Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is excited to announce the release of the latest tool to encourage the public to partner with local metro Denver law enforcement in keeping the metro area community safe.
Metro Denver Crime Stoppers teamed with mobile app developer CellFlare, Inc to bring this advance technology to the citizens of Colorado. “This is really one of a kind technology that allows the user to easily submit anonymous tips via email, photos and even video” said Mike Mills, board President, “an extremely important feature in which the entire Metro Denver Crime Stoppers program was built – the ability for our tipsters to remain 100% anonymous.”
In addition, Metro Denver Crime Stoppers will be able to send urgent broadcast push messages to those who have downloaded the free app, to ensure that the public is notified of time sensitive cases, such as AMBER alerts and MEDINA alerts.
Tipsters, who use the app, will still be eligible for awards of up to $2,000 when they submit a tip that assists law enforcement in solving a case. To-date, Metro Denver Crime Stoppers has paid out over $600,000 in awards to citizens who have helped solve hundreds of cases.
The Metro Denver Crime Stoppers mobile app is immediately available as a FREE download on the App Store for Apple ® devices, on Google Play™ for Android devices and on the BlackBerry App World for select BlackBerry devices.
