  • Owner surrenders 42 Dogs after animal cruelty investigation

The owner of dozens of small breed dogs surrendered 42 of them to the Colorado Humane Society after investigators with CHS and the Bent County Sheriff’s Department found the conditions of the private residence unsanitary and the dogs without adequate shelter. The investigation began with several animal cruelty complaints to the Bent County Sheriff’s Department.

CHS brought the dogs to the Dumb Friends League in Denver, Colorado, and after thorough veterinary evaluations, they were put up for adoption.
