    Here’s How it Works:

    You remain anonymous no matter what.

    1. When you anonymously submit information on an unsolved crime or individual wanted by law enforcement by CALLING, TEXTING, via the ONLINE or through our APP, a Code number is issued to you the caller.
    2. The information is anonymously shared with law enforcement.
    3. At the conclusion of the investigation law enforcement will notify MDCS.
    4. The MDCS Awards Committee will review the information provided by the tipster  and law enforcement and for information that leads to an arrest an award amount will be determined.
    5. MDCS will inform the tipster that they are entitled to monetary award.
    6. MDCS authorizes our bank to release the award money to you.
    7. You, the Tipster, can then pick up the award money from our bank using the code numbers given to you for identification.

  • Horse Killings – Costilla County

    COSTILLA COUNTY, Colo. (April 3, 2013) – The Costilla County Sherriff’s Office is asking the public for help in finding those responsible for shooting four horses along County Road J.2 in San Francisco, Colo. Any information on the crime can be reported anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).

    On March 20, 2013, four horses were found shot along County Road J.2 in San Francisco, Colo. Three horses died from gunshot wounds and one horse survived. The horses belonged to a resident of San Francisco. The sheriff’s office and the Colorado Humane Society are investigating the case.

    “In addition to the evidence we have collected, we need help from the public in finding information about who might have shot these horses,” said Costilla County Sheriff Amos Medina. “We hope the public will call us or Crime Stoppers to report new details. There’s a good chance that someone involved might be talking about it and a tip leading to a summons might get a $2,000 reward.”

    Information about the horses can be reported to the Costilla County Sheriff’s Office at (719) 672-3302, the Colorado Humane Society at (800) 249-5121 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-STOP (7867).

    All tipsters remain anonymous and are eligible for an award of up to $2,000.00.
